Strange Object Appears Next to Planet Mercury

It's neither a bird, nor a plane, nor Superman. The giant object now appearing next to the planet Mercury remains a mystery. UFO followers believe it could be an alien ship. Scientists, however, aren't convinced. The object appears in a number of ... images taken by a NASA telescope named Heliospheric Imager-1, which was focused on a coronal ejection from the Sun. In a sequence where the telescope observes a solar flare, viewers can clearly see a massive circular object moving around in the frame. YouTube Video Arouses Speculation Video of the object next to Mercury has been posted to YouTube, ... (view more)

Don't BE Stressed, But Stress It in MS PowerPoint

Someone recently told me that she really enjoyed creating presentations for her company training sessions, but she really wished there was a way to truly emphasize a graphic, chart, text, etc. to make it really stand out on the screen when she is ... teaching. She was surprised and delighted when I told her that I could show her a way to make an object grow right before the eyes of her students! Follow the steps below so that you can incorporate this into your next presentation: Select the object you would like to optimize and emphasize. In the Slide Show menu, click on Custom Animation. Click on ... (view more)

PowerPoint, Excel and MS Word Shortcut

I think we all know that to create a copy of an object on a PowerPoint Slide, in an Excel worksheet or in a Word document, you use copy and paste from the menu or a keyboard shortcut. To copy an object using keyboard shortcuts and the mouse, select the object you would like to copy by clicking on it. Now, depress and continue to hold down the CTRL key as you click and hold the left mouse button and drag the object to a new position. PowerPoint, Excel, and Word add a copy of the ... (view more)

Use Drawing Objects: MS Word

The buttons on the Drawing toolbar have useful tools for -- what else? -- drawing objects, such as shapes and lines. Not only can you make simple squares, circles, ovals, and lines, but MS Word provides AutoShapes, a gallery of typical shapes such ... as stars, pentagons, block arrows, etc. A special type of AutoShape, a callout, combines a text box and indicator line and is used to attach explanatory text to a specific part of the document, much as a speech balloon in a comic strip attaches to a character, or a label points to part of a cell or organism in a biology diagram. Other buttons on the ... (view more)

Link Excel Worksheets: MS Word

The Paste Special command can also be used to link an Excel worksheet. In contract to embedding, linking sets up a link between the worksheet cells in the document and the original Excel worksheet source. The MS Word document holds an image of the ... Excel worksheet and a shortcut to it but not an actual copy of the worksheet. Because of the link, any changes in the original are automatically reflected in the MS Word document. The advantage to linking the worksheet is that if the source worksheet in Excel changes, the values are automatically updated in the Word document. If you make a change in ... (view more)

Arrange Objects with Ease: MS PowerPoint

Need to copy an object quickly and easily using PowerPoint? Instead of using Cut and Paste, try this method instead: Single left-click the object you want to copy (this will select the object).
